If the background is dark, a white font would be great. If the background is a light Window, a black font would be better. So I decided to look for a different solution, one where you can actually change the background color where the clock is, while leaving the rest of the taskbar transparent. I just did this on my test system using.

Windows 10 Clock Is Black Screen
I used it for telling time while I was teaching a class, since the clock was not visible from the place I was teaching. Not a lot of clock apps do this simple but necessary thing!Needed: This app still needs more customization options, and the ones that are present don't actually behave as expected. The clocks should show both the seconds and the current date, and ALL should have options to turn them on and off.Would be Nice: I'd like to be able to independently change the colors of the hands on the analog clocks, and the dates on all clocks.Overall, it generally does what it's supposed to do, and so I'm keeping it for now.
But really, Mr. Dowswell, this app as it is, ain't bad.
