Among The Impostors Chapter 7 Summary

AMONG THE IMPOSTERSByMargaret PetersonSummaryFor Luke, Garner life has been very hard. He has been living an illegal life as a third child. Talbot takes him to Hendricks school for boys he gave Luke a note and then left. Luke never had time to read that note until he found an open door that had lead him outside.

On the note was advice for Luke. Luke never really understood how it would help him but he would soon realize. Luke was picked on by all these other boys until one night when he followed them outside at night and had interrupted their meeting. Luke started to get picked on less since he had talked with the boys.

He finally used the advice he was given to his advantage.Everything was starting to go well for Luke until one night. Luke woke up from his sleep and had realized one of his fellow group members was gone. Luke's curiosity got the best of him and he had to investigate. Luke later realized that waking up could have saved his life. He needed to escape this school before it was too late for him. Luke needed help and when he needed it most he received it but was it really help?I would explain more if I could but the more I would explain the likely it would be of me spoiling the book so if you are confused but want to read feel free to read the book for yourself.Own experienceMe personally this book was very boring at first.

Nothing really popped out at me and intrigued me to keep reading. But as I continued to read the story it got so good I couldn't stop reading it.

I'm not saying that this book was the best book that I have ever read but it was a good book. I would read another book like this one because its part of a series and i have already read the first two and will more than likely continue to read this series. I do not normally read these type of books but lately, they are very interesting and I enjoy them very much.Main characters spoilerLuke Garner/ Lee Grant- Luke Garner is an illegal third child. His fake identity name is Lee Grant. He is the main character who has had a challenging life.

He is a young boy who attends an all-boys school.Mr. Talbot- is Jens father who works for the population police.

Aside from his job he helps 3rd children to help live by giving them fake ID’s to help them blend in with society.Jason Barstow- Is an undercover agent working for the population police. He is the person in charge of the group that Luke is a part of.Samuel Irving, Denton Weathers, Ryann Mann, and Tyron Janson are 4 illegal third children that are found living with fake IDsBig Idea Words Spoiler!!!To me, there are two words that sum up this book. Courage and sacrifice are the two words that help me bring a theme to this book. The first word that I think is being shown in this book is courage.” Jason took a step toward Luke and he was even closer now. This time Jason fell backward His head hit the stairs with a loud thunk, his body did not move.”( Peterson Page 167) First a little bit of background information. Luke had heard Jason talking on the phone and believed that he was working for the population police. I believe that for Luke Garner to be able to attack someone was a huge risk for him. His life and the lives of his other friends were at risk so he had to do something in order to save everyone.

First off Luke had to build up the courage to face this person trying to kill him and his friends and then he showed lots of leadership when he actually took charge and decided to fight against his enemy. The second theme of this book was sacrifice. “ Luke sat up.all the beds were full except for Jason and Luke's.” ( Peterson page 117) To me, this quote shows a lot of Luke's character because in order to put a stop to Jason he sacrificed his own life to save all of the other boys in his school.Among the Imposters by Margaret Peterson was a very good book it is book 2 in the Shadow Children sequence. This book was very well written and has a few intense moments that will make you not want to put the book down. I really liked this book and like this series.
